查看更多>>摘要:A widely accessible authoritative list of known plant species is a fundamental requirement for local, regional, and global biodiversity conservation efforts. The longstanding index series of published names of liverworts and hornworts continues with 2019 and 2020. The list herein includes one higher taxon name, six generic names, 13 infrageneric names, 124 specific names, 27 infraspecific names, one infrageneric autonym and nine infraspecific autonyms for 2019 and 2020. The list in-cludes 13 names of fossils as well as 13 invalid names. Four older names omitted in the earlier indices are included.

Tricholoma colposii (Tricholomataceae, Basidiomycota), a new edible species of matsutake fungi from Eastern Mexico with economic and biocultural importance

查看更多>>摘要:Matsutake fungi include a complex of edible mushrooms highly prized worldwide, particularly in Japan where they are considered one of the most luxurious ingredients. These species establish ectomycorrhizal symbioses with angiosperms and gymnosperms in the Northern Hemisphere and in North America only three species are currently known. In the present contribution a fourth species of this geographical area is described, Tricholoma colposii sp. nov. is described from Veracruz state, in eastern Mexico based on morphological and molecular (nrITS) data. This species is characterized by middle size basidiomata, with orange brown to brown pileus and stipe, squamose when young and with appressed scales in maturity, cylindric, fibrillous to scaly stipe, with globose to ellipsoid (4.5-)5-6 (-7) x (3 -) 4-5 (-6) mu m smooth spores, sporomes with sweet fruit odor and raw green bean flavour. The species grows associated with Pinus teocote forests. The macro-and micromorphological characters in conjunction with the nrITS-based phylogenetic analysis using Maximum Likelihood method and Bayesian inference support the proposal of this new species of Mexican matsutake. Detailed descriptions, photographs and comparisons with phenetic and phylogenetic related species are presented.

A synthesis of the Chiococceae tribe (Cinchonoideae, Rubiaceae) in Mexico: morphology, diversity, and endemism

查看更多>>摘要:This study provides the first comprehensive checklist and analysis of species included in the Chiococceae tribe in Mexico, based on over 4000 herbarium specimens. We report 28 species in nine genera; including two endemic genera (Coutaportla and Nernstia) and 14 endemic species. It is estimated that 50 % of Chiococceae species found in Mexico are endemic. We mapped the diversity per grid cell of species using their occurrence records obtained from online databases. Distribution was concentrated in the tropical southern area of Mexico, with the most diverse states in terms of species and endemicity being Chiapas (17 species; 5 endemic), Veracruz (14 species; 4 endemic), and Oaxaca (14 species; 6 endemic). The combination of several traits in reproductive characters are useful to diagnose the generic entities of Chiococceae; for example form, size, symmetry, and merosity of the corolla; consistency, dorsiventral compression, and dehiscence of the fruit; and attachment and margin of the seed are useful for diagnosing the generic entities of Chiococceae. We also highlight taxonomic problems on alba), for which further studies are needed to better comprehend the diversity of the Chiococceae tribe in Mexico.

Indocalamus chongzhouensis (Poaceae: Bambusoideae), a new synonym of I. emeiensis: evidence from morphology and complete chloroplast genome data

查看更多>>摘要:Based on evidence from morphology, micromorphology of the abaxial leaf epidermis and phylogenetic analysis by using complete chloroplast genome data, it was found that Indocalamus chongzhouensis is conspecific with I. emeiensis, and should be synonymized with the latter. An updated description, illustrations, and a distribution map are also provided.

查看更多>>摘要:Prunus mazandaranica is described as a new species from north Iran. The new species has been placed in the sect. Mi-crocerasus and could readily be distinguished from the closest relative, P. microcarpa subsp microcarpa, Prunus yazdiana, and Prunus paradoxa by indistinct brachyblasts, fasciculate inflorescence of 2-5 sessile or subsessile flowers with 10-12 unequal-sized stamens and glabrous style and ovary. Also, Prunus jacquemontii is recorded for the first time from northeast Iran. It is similar to P. griffithii morphologically, an endemic species distributed in Afghanistan, but distinguished from it by its glabrous leaves and glabrous style and ovary. Micromorphological features of pollen grains and leaf epidermal cells, surface are presented using Scanning Electron Microscopy. The diagnostic traits, a geographic distribution map, and detailed photos of the taxa are also presented here.

查看更多>>摘要:Amanita pallidoverruca, a new species of A. sect. Validae, is described from the Hengduan Mountains, southwestern China. This species is associated with Picea trees and is characterized by a greyish brown pileus decorated with dirty white to greyish warts, non-striate and non-appendiculate pileal margin, subapical annulus with a greyish yellow to olivaceous edge, and amyloid, ellipsoid basidiospores measuring 8-10 x 6-7 mu m. Phylogenetic analyses based on nrLSU, ITS, rpb2 and tef1-alpha indicated that it is closely related to A. excelsa. Illustrated morphological descriptions, and comparisons with closely related and similar species are provided.

查看更多>>摘要:Centaurea achilleifolia (C. sect. Melanoloma) is illustrated and described as a new species, with records in the Oriental Middle-Atlas of Morocco (Bou Naceur mountain). It differs from similar taxa in the section by its peculiar bipinnatisect leaves, which recall some Achillea species.

This species is similar to R. verruculosa in sharing characters of the perianth with ringed, fleshy appendage in throat and lobes abaxially with verruculose, but differs mainly by bracts 3 per flower, with several sterile bracts apically; outer bract ca. 4.5 cm long, ca. 3 mm broad; perianth globular; lobes shorter ca. 2.0 mm long, margin lacerated, apical subacut; the top of annular appendage margin lacerated, 2 mm above the top of perianth tube; stigma bend, without lobed; style conspicuous; ovary globose or subglobose, askew; berry and seed ellipsoid, askew.

查看更多>>摘要:Stomatocyst 131 Pang & Wang was described from the sedge mires and puddles in the Aershan Geological Park, China and it has not been reported from other localities since its description. We recorded stomatocyst 131 from a shallow lake Zhurmankol in South Urals, Russia. Morphological variability of this morphotype was studied using scanning electron microscopy. We showed that the width of hexagonal pattern as well as the height of the mesh edges significantly varied depending on the maturation stage of the stomatocyst. An amended diagnosis of this stomatocyst is provided.
