查看更多>>摘要:In order to improve the frequency stabilization and the anti-interference ability of two-mode power-balance lasers, the asymmetric thermal structure made up of several thermal transfer layers with different heat transfer coefficient is proposed. Through the heat isolation effect of the middle layer in the structure, the laser has asymmetric thermal responses to electric heater control and air interference. So the anti-interference ability of the system is improved by keeping a low speed in air disturbance while keeping a high speed in thermal stabilization. Several experiments were made with two-mode laser to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method. The experimental results indicate that, frequency stability of the two-mode power-balance laser based on asymmetric thermal structure can be locked in 4.1×10~(-10) in ordinary lab condition, while it becomes 1.9 × 10~(-9) where the air velocity is 1m/s.

查看更多>>摘要:Advanced automated optoelectronic system for contact wire wear inspection on the go using a structured light method is presented. The algorithm of the video stream analysis and approaches to its implementation using high-performance electronic equipment are given. The automated system described has allowed measuring wear parameters with 10 mm interval at the inspection wagon velocity of 60 km per hour. The root-mean-square error for the measurements of the remaining height and contact plot constitutes 0.15 and 1.5 mm~2 correspondently that allows one to make a considered decision about changing a worn section of a contact wire network. The system also can be utilized to inspect public transportation network and to measure the geometric parameters of cables and tubes being fabricated with rolling technique.

查看更多>>摘要:Fringe projection systems gain in importance in manufacturing quality control due to their multiple advantages. However, determination of an optimal inspection setup - including sighting- and positioning-strategy and configuration of the sensor - is a challenging task. There is no standardized, methodical approach established yet. Thus the success of an inspection depends on the skills and diligence of the inspection planner. This paper shows an approach for the reduction of these shortfalls. Therefore a software-tool was developed, which provides a simulation-based, task-sensitive and automatic optimization of inspection setups. Fundament for the simulation of the measurement is a continuous model. Thus the measurement result and the quality of a chosen inspection setup can be simulated. Based on this, algorithms for the multi-criteria-optimization of inspection setups were implemented.
查看更多>>摘要:In precision machining, it is desirable to measure the workpiece form profiles to provide feedback for control to maintain machining quality. A water beam assisted form error in-process optical measurement approach has been proposed to solve the opaque coolant problem to permit form error in-process optical measurement. To have more comprehensive understanding of the method, factorial and preliminary parameter tests were conducted. It was found that the water flow rate Q_w and the height of medium h_m are the two most important parameters affecting the transparent window size A_t. For Q_w, there is a transition of flow state changing from laminar to turbulent. Increasing h_m generally gives smaller A_t. The preliminary parameter test results also show that the conditions Q_w∈ [0.6-0.75ml/s] and h_m ∈ [0.3-0.4 mm] give better stability for A_t.
查看更多>>摘要:The weld geometry is directly related to weld strength. The weld geometry by manual measurement may be inaccurate due to human errors. In this study, the image processing is proposed to measure the geometrical dimensions of bead-on-plate weld. The image noise of weld was smoothed by median filter. The boundary of fusion area was enhanced by histogram processing. The edge of deposit and fusion area is then obtained using Laplacian-Gaussian operator and zero crossing detection. The demonstrated example shows that the image processing can effectively and accurately measure the weld geometry.

查看更多>>摘要:A monitoring system is developed to visualize and to control the process of Selective Laser Melting (SLM) of metallic powder. The system is integrated with industrial PHENIX PM-100 machine. Visualization is carried out using LED illumination and CCD-camera; a home developed pyrometer is applied for monitoring of thermal phenomena in the zone of laser impact. Deviation of temperature from its optimal value is chosen as a criterion for the express method of quality control.
