In some cases, media content (e.g., live media content) can be provided to a device of a user for display. Based on media content of a part icular type being displayed on a current channel of the media content, the user may cause the device to change from the current channel to a different channel o f the media content. However, there is no mechanism or process for detecting com pletion of the particular type of media content." In addition to the background information obtained for this patent, NewsRx journ alists also obtained the inventors' summary information for this patent: "Techni ques and systems are described herein for processing media content. In some exam ples, systems and techniques are described for determining completion of one or more types of media content and performing one or more functions based determini ng that the one or more types of media content are complete.

No assignee for this patent application has been made. News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: " "Field of the Invention "The present invention relates to an automatic dispensing device, and more parti cularly to an automatic dispensing device provided with a robot arm for gripping and operating a dispensing pipette. "Description of the Related Art "The following description sets forth the inventor's knowledge of the related ar t and problems therein and should not be construed as an admission of knowledge in the prior art. "In an analysis of a sample using an analytical instrument, such as, e.g., a liq uid chromatograph, a gas chromatograph, and a mass spectrometer, preprocessing, such as, e.g., extraction, purification, concentration, dilution, labeling, or s taining of a detection target contained in the sample may be required prior to t he analysis. Conventionally, in order to efficiently perform such preprocessing of a sample, an automatic dispensing device that automatically dispenses a liqui d, such as, e.g., a sample liquid and a reagent, into a plurality of sample cont ainers has been used.

Patent Issued for System and method to predict service level failure in supply c hains (USPTO 11928647)

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-From Alexandria, Virginia, NewsRx jour nalists report that a patent by the inventors Grangier, Philippe (Montreal, CA), Melancon, Gabrielle Gauthier (Montreal, CA), Prescott-Gagnon, Eric (Montreal, C A), Sabourin, Emmanuel (Uden, NL), filed on August 26, 2022, was published onlin e on March 12, 2024. The patent's assignee for patent number 11928647 is Blue Yonder Group Inc. (Scot tsdale, Arizona, United States). News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: "Although a goal of supply chain planning is to generate gl obally-optimized supply chain plans for an entire business, the calculation and execution of supply chain plans is typically controlled by several distinct and dissimilar processes, including, for example, demand planning, production planni ng, supply planning, distribution planning, execution, and the like. Each of the se processes may have differing data requirements and planning periods which mak es synchronizing the processes difficult. Often a demand or production variation is detected after the planning period of one or more processes and prevents gen erating a globallyoptimized plan that accounts for the variation. The failure t o account for variation in the globally optimized plan may cause service failure s and prevents achieving customer service level targets. This result is undesira ble."

Patent Issued for Method and system for automatically securing the operation of a robot system controlled by a mobile operating device (USPTO 11926059)

    165-168页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-According to news reporting originatin g from Alexandria, Virginia, by NewsRx journal-ists, a patent by the inventors La quai, Florian (Friedberg, DE), Schmirgel, Volker (Augsburg, DE), filed on May 27 , 2020, was published online on March 12, 2024. The assignee for this patent, patent number 11926059, is KUKA Deutschland GmbH ( Augsburg, Germany). Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: "A robot system within the context of the invention is a syste m that has at least one robot. In addition, the system can optionally also have peripheral components for the robot(s), such as protective devices, workpiece or tool holders or trays, or exchangeable tools for the robot(s). In addition, a r obot system has at least one control device for controlling the robot(s), in par ticular the drives thereof. "Modern robot systems, for example for use in automobile production, are often a ble to execute very fast and complex movements. In addition, in many application s a plurality of robot systems operating independently of one another or in a ne twork are used in direct spatial proximity to one another, or such a robot syste m itself has a plurality of individual robots, each of which is subject to a com mon system control. In the event of malfunctions or failures of a robot system, dangerous situations for people or objects can quickly arise in the effective re gion of the robot system, which must be recognized and stopped immediately. It i s therefore expedient that, for safety reasons, movements or other safety-releva nt actions of a robot system can be triggered only in the case when an operator is located in sufficient proximity to the robot system to supervise it, in parti cular to trigger an emergency stop of the robot system.

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-According to news reporting based on a preprint abstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from bi orxiv.org: "The ability to accurately predict antibody-antigen complex structures from thei r sequences could greatly advance our understanding of the immune system and wou ld aid in the development of novel antibody therapeutics. "There have been considerable recent advancements in predicting protein-protein interactions (PPIs) fueled by progress in machine learning (ML). "To understand the current state of the field, we compare six representative met hods for predicting antibody-antigen complexes from sequence, including two deep learning approaches trained to predict PPIs in general (AlphaFold-Multimer, Ros eTTAFold), two composite methods that initially predict antibody and antigen str uctures separately and dock them (using antibody-mode ClusPro), local refinement in Rosetta (SnugDock) of globally docked poses from ClusPro, and a pipeline com bining homology modelling with rigid-body docking informed by ML-based epitope a nd paratope prediction (AbAdapt).

Unraveling the Time-Frequency Features of Emotional Regulation: Based on an Inte rpretable XGBoost-SHAP Analytical Framework

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-According to news reporting based on a preprint abstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from bi orxiv.org: "Negative emotions, while crucial for survival, can lead to adverse health effec ts if not managed properly. "Our understanding of temporal EEG changes during emotion regulation is limited. To address this gap, this study employs interpretable machine learning techniqu es, XGBoost-SHAP model, to analyze EEG data. "This study investigates the neural mechanisms underlying emotion regulation, wi th a focus on EEG oscillations in the lateral prefrontal area channels (F3, F4, F7, F8) across four specific frequency bands (Alpha, Beta, Theta, Delta). By ide ntifying predictive features and patterns, this approach offers insights into th e temporal dynamics of emotion regulation and the involvement of specific brain regions, enhancing our understanding of emotional processing and providing avenu es for effective interventions. The findings reveal a significant relationship b etween specific EEG feature changes and emotional ratings during the emotion reg ulation process. The LPFC emerges as central in cognitive control and emotional regulation.
