查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – New research on Machine Learning is the subject of a report. According to news reporting originating from Changsha, Pe ople’s Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Estimating subsurface thermohaline structure from concurrent satellite data is a meaningfu l way to enrich internal oceanic observations. As a powerful tool for data minin g, many studies have used machine learning in subsurface reconstruction, but mos t conventional applications have been purely black-box in nature without further consideration of oceanic characteristics.”

Research in the Area of Machine Learning Reported from University of Waterloo (D igitally-assisted iconology: A method for the analysis of digital media)

    64-64页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – A new study on artificial intelligence is now available. According to news reporting originating from the University o f Waterloo by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Exploring medium-to-large datasets of social media imagery can be challenging.” The news reporters obtained a quote from the research from University of Waterlo o: “This paper describes a digitally-assisted iconology, a hybrid methodology th at includes machine learning and data analytics for sorting through medium-sized datasets of images that lack metadata to describe their pictorial content. The method plays to the strengths of current digital technologies. Using machine lea rning, pictures are first clustered in a preliminary stage based upon basic form al presentational characteristics. Thematic analysis follows this preliminary st age, based upon an expansion of Aby Warburg’s ‘pre-coined expressive values’, wh ich are frequently found in pictures displaying high levels of user reception. O nce clustered via these two separate stages, the researcher can then drill down using familiar forms of visual analysis to explore how similar concepts have bee n rendered in different ways. The analysis may be augmented by exploring the com mentary appended to these pictures, which adds a further level of detail providi ng insight into end-user interpretations.”
