Patent Issued for Managing artificial intelligence model partitions for edge com puting environment (USPTO 11915154)

    149-152页
查看更多>>摘要:The patent’s assignee for patent number 11915154 is EMC IP Holding Company LLC ( Hopkinton, Massachusetts, United States). News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “In recent years, with the progress of artificial intellige nce (AI) technology, application programs that employ AI models (such as, but no t limited to, machine learning (ML) applications, deep learning (DL) application s, and data mining (DM) applications) have enabled significant development in ma ny fields. However, as AI models become more complicated and need larger data se ts, execution of such models requires more computing resources. Currently, due t o limitations of computing capability and communication bandwidth of computing d evices, a single computing device cannot typically satisfy the demands of a larg e-scale AI model. Therefore, efficient deployment and execution of AI models has become a focus of current research.”

From the background information supplied by the inventors, news correspondents o btained the following quote: “DE 10 2016 210 496 A1 discloses a patient-position ing device, comprising a patient table comprising a lying surface and a robotic arm which has a plurality of links arranged one behind the other, rotatably moun ted with respect to axes and a fastening device to which the patient table is fa stened, wherein the links of the robotic arm comprise a robotic hand which compr ises hand links and the fastening device, and wherein a first link of the links of the robotic arm is mounted in the region of one of its two ends so as to rota te with respect to a vertically extending axis, a second link of the links of th e robotic arm is mounted in the region of one of its two ends in the region of t he other end of the first link so as to rotate with respect an axis extending ho rizontally relative to the first link, and the robotic hand is mounted in the re gion of the other end of the second link so as to rotate with respect to a furth er axis extending horizontally relative to the second link, wherein the horizont ally extending axis is aligned at a distance parallel to the further horizontall y extending axis.”

Researchers Submit Patent Application, 'Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Imu Cali bration And Sensor Fusion', for Approval (USPTO 20240068839)

查看更多>>摘要:No assignee for this patent application has been made. News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “The current state of the art is to perform calibration onl ine (i.e. in real time, with some latency) because typically these measurements are used downstream for real-time applications. Given the timecritical nature o f some real-time applications, it becomes pointless to calibrate if it is not do ne so in a timely manner. So, existing calibration algorithms have to be optimiz ed for highly constrained hardware and software limitations. Therefore, existing algorithms trade-off quality for reduced latency. There is interest in receivin g highly accurate measurements before it is used offline for training an AI/ML m odel to make a critical (e.g., a health-related) inference or decision. So, tech nically, the calibration algorithms have no theoretical limitations on the compu te power or latency. One novel aspect of the present invention is to use all of the data needed to effectively back-calibrate the erroneous measurements offline resulting in lower overall cumulative error.
