Technical University of Sofia Researchers Discuss Findings in Robotics (Concept for the Construction of a Universal Mobile Robot)

    61-61页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – A new study on robotics is now availab le. According to news reporting originating from Sofia, Bulgaria, by NewsRx corr espondents, research stated, “This paper presents a mobile robot concept.” The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Technical Univer sity of Sofia: “To understand what has led to the choice of this particular desi gn, one must first understand mobile robots in general: what are the trends, whe re are they used, etc. Then, some of the necessary elements for robot propulsion and navigation were considered, looking at their principle of operation, as wel l as their application. A description of the robot structure follows. Thanks to the software, the approximate value of the various parameters can be calculated, and an initial three-dimensional model can be built. First, the idea of the rob ot will be introduced in the abstract and then be outlined in detail, showing ho w the various components work.”

Investigators at Chinese Academy of Sciences Describe Findings in Machine Learni ng (Constructing a Temperature Transferable Coarse-grained Model Of Cis-1,4-poly isoprene With the Structural and Thermodynamic Consistency Aided By Machine ...)

    62-62页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – Investigators discuss new findings in Machine Learning. According to news originating from Beijing, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Polyisoprene (PI) is a wid ely used polymer and constructing a systematic coarse-grained (CG) PI model with the structural and thermodynamic consistency with the underlying atomic model o ver a wide range of thermodynamic conditions is very important for the predictiv e capability of CG model on overall properties of PI polymer materials and the e stablishment of their structure-property relationship. However, as the number of tunable CG potential parameters and target properties grows, traditional parame ter tuning methods become impractical.” Financial support for this research came from National Natural Science Foundatio n of China (NSFC).

Study Findings on Artificial Intelligence Described by a Researcher at Departmen t of International Economic Relations (Awareness and readiness to use artificial intelligence by the adult population of Ukraine: Survey results)

    63-64页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – Research findings on artificial intell igence are discussed in a new report. According to news originating from the Dep artment of International Economic Relations by NewsRx correspondents, research s tated, “Policymakers, educators, and businesses must develop artificial intellig ence-related initiatives and strategies to effectively engage and benefit the po pulation. The study aims to evaluate awareness and readiness to utilize artifici al intelligence by the adult population of Ukraine in 2022.” Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Department of Inter national Economic Relations: “The paper employed a questionnaire consisting of t wo sets of questions: 1) awareness of artificial intelligence and 2) readiness t o use artificial intelligence. A total of 806 respondents were interviewed via a n online survey. The margin of error does not exceed 5%. The result s indicate that while Ukrainians have a generally positive view of artificial in telligence, they remain skeptical about the prospect of robots functioning as wo rkplace partners. The majority find it difficult to envision collaborating with a robot in a professional setting (only 36.9% of Ukrainians are re ady to work with a robot). The survey highlights that the primary benefits of AI products and services valued by Ukrainians include timesaving, increased comfor t, and enhanced service accessibility. Ukrainian men demonstrate a greater degre e of commitment and awareness of artificial intelligence products/services than Ukrainian women.”

Study Results from University of Manchester Broaden Understanding of Robotics (U nwieldy Object Delivery With Nonholonomic Mobile Base: a Free Pushing Approach)

    64-64页
查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – Investigators publish new report on Ro botics. According to news reporting originating from Manchester, United Kingdom, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “This letter explores the problem of delivering unwieldy objects using nonholonomic mobile bases. We propose a new a pproach called free pushing to address this challenge.” Financial support for this research came from China Scholarship Council. Our news editors obtained a quote from the research from the University of Manch ester, “Unlike previous stable pushing methods which maintain a stiff robot-obje ct contact, our approach allows the robot to maneuver around the object while pu shing it. It aims to execute continuous pushes without losing contact for improv ed pushing maneuverability. Additionally, to ensure the feasibility of the plann ed pushes, a robot-object contact model is developed to account for the shape an d kinematics of the robot in pushing modeling and planning. A Model Predictive C ontroller solves the pushing planning problem in real time. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves an average success rate of 83% with an accuracy of 0.085 m when pushing to the selected goals. Compared to the baselines, this approach improves the agility and efficiency of mobile pushers.”
