According to news originating from Wroclaw, Poland, by NewsRx c orrespondents, research stated, “A tool for path following for a mobile manipula tor is herein presented.” Our news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Wroclaw Universi ty of Science and Technology: “The control algorithm is obtained by projecting a local frame associated with the robot onto the desired path, thus obtaining a n on-orthogonal moving frame. The Serret-Frenet frame moving along the curve is co nsidered as a reference. A curve resulting from the control points of a B-spline in 2D or 3D is investigated as the desired path. It is used to show how the geo metric continuity of the path has an impact on the performance of the robot in t erms of undesired force spikes. This can be understood by looking at the curvatu re and, in 3D, at the torsion of the path. These unwanted effects vanish and bet ter performance is achieved thanks to the change of the B-spline order.”

According to news reporting originating in Lemont, Illino is, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “Intermetallic phases represent a do main of emergent behavior, in which atoms with packing and electronic preference s can combine into complex geometrical arrangements whose long-range order invol ves repeat patterns containing thousands of atoms or is incompatible with a 3D u nit cell. The formation of such arrangements points to unexplained driving force s within these systems that, if understood, could be harnessed in the design of new metallic materials.” The news reporters obtained a quote from the research from Argonne National Labo ratory, “DFTchemical pressure (CP) analysis has emerged as an approach to visua lize how atomic packing tensions within simpler crystal structures can drive thi s complexity and create potential functionality. However, the applications of th is method have hitherto been limited in scope by its dependence on resource-inte nsive electronic structure calculations. In this Article, we develop machine lea rning (ML)-based implementation of the CP approach, drawing on the collection of DFT-CP schemes in the Intermetallic Reactivity Database. We illustrate the meth od with comparisons of ML-CP and DFT-CP schemes for a series of examples, before demonstrating its application with an exploration of one of the quintessential instances of complexity in intermetallic chemistry, MgAl, whose high-temperature unit cell is a 2.8 nm cube containing 1227 atoms. An analysis of its ML-CP-deri ved interatomic pressures traces the origins of the structure to simple matching rules for the assembly of Frank-Kasper polyhedra.”

According to news reporting from Shaoguan, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “In this paper, the objective of path planning and control systems for robot is multifactorial. The method used for navigation algorithms based on is closed-loop random trees with quick search or CL-RRT.” The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Shaoguan Univers ity, “In this algorithm, each robot will grow a tree from its current location t o the target or zone target is developed. The main advantage of this method is t he ability to function in complex environments. For use this method, it is neces sary that the CL-RRT algorithm for robot navigation online, be extended. In onli ne mode, the robot does not have any information about the environment and throu gh its sensors, which detect the environment and the ability to function in envi ronments with obstacles dynamic and could face a new obstacle or the possibility of an obstacle’s dynamic (the other a robot) to change its direction during mot ion. Performance of the design path used with design the controller for robot in an environment with various obstacles is evaluated, and then this design is for a group of robots used. To coordinate among agents and to ensure that there is no conflict between them, there is strategy based on priority assignment and LOS method. The strategy used in a way that ensures that the collision between agen ts does not happen and benefits of the design methods path used to keep. As a re sult of this strategy can be divided into two parts, the first part of the prior itization robots and the second part of the strategy, no conflict robot is in mo tion. In this paper, the problem of forming a group of robots has been investiga ted. In other words, the agents move in the number of agents must be a specific form.”

According to news reporting from Adelaide, Austral ia, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “Biological age can be predicted usi ng artificial intelligence (AI) trained on electrocardiograms (ECGs), which is p rognostic for mortality and cardiovascular events. We developed an AI model to p redict age from ECG and compared baseline characteristics to identify determinan ts of advanced biological age.” The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Royal Adelaide H ospital, “An AI model was trained on ECGs from cardiology inpatients aged 20-90 years. AI analysis used a convolutional neural network with data divided in an 8 0:20 ratio (development:internal validation), with external validation undertake n using data from the UK Biobank. Performance and subgroup comparison measures i ncluded correlation, difference and mean absolute difference. 63,246 patients wi th 353,704 total ECGs were included. In internal validation, the correlation coe fficient was 0.72, with a mean absolute difference between chronological and AI- predicted age of 9.1 years. The same model performed similarly in external valid ation. In patients aged 20-29, AI-ECG biological age was older than chronologica l age by a mean 14.3±0.2 yrs. In patients aged 80-89 years, biological age was y ounger by a mean 10.5±0.1 yrs. Women were biologically younger than men by a mea n of 10.7 months (P=0.023) and patients with a single ECG were biologically 1.0 years younger than those with multiple ECGs (P <0.0001). Th ere are significant between-group differences in AI-ECG biological age for patie nt subgroups. Biological age was greater than chronological age in young, hospit alized patient, and less than chronological age in the older hospitalized patien t.”
