Patent Issued for Aircraft cleaning robot (USPTO 12076759)

    115-118页
查看更多>>摘要:The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “An aircraft having a dirty or unsmooth surface consumes substantially more fuel than a clean, polished aircraft. Hence, it is i mportant that aircraft be maintained in a clean and polished condition. Typicall y, aircraft are cleaned and polished using a cleaning machine provided with an o perator-controlled crane arm capable of reaching all parts of a large aircraft t o be cleaned, and a cleaning head attached at a distal end of the arm for cleani ng and polishing the aircraft. U.S. Pat. No. 5,833,762 suggests how an operator may park an aircraft cleaning robot in relation to reference marks in a parking field, and different predetermined motion programs of the robot arm, defined by consecutive sets of robot arm joint positions, may be selected based on the robo t’s position relative to the reference marks. The robot arm is calibrated by ass ociating sets of robot arm joint positions with points in space which are obtain ed using a 3D laser scanner.

Patent Application Titled 'Autonomous Gladhands Coupling Systems, Devices, And M ethods' Published Online (USPTO 20240294044)

    119-122页
查看更多>>摘要:Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “An 18-wheeler or tractor-trailer truck includes a semi-traile r (also referred to herein as “trailer”) releasably coupled to a tractor (also r eferred to herein as “truck” or “vehicle”). At distribution centers, marine term inals, rail heads, etc., the trailer is often disconnected from the truck, for e xample, for cargo loading, cargo unloading, storage, or changing between trucks. In such locations, rather than the truck used for road hauling, the trailer can be moved about by a specialized local tractor (also referred to herein as “host ler,” “hostler truck,” “yard truck,” “yard dog,” “terminal tractor,” “shuttle tr uck,” or “shunt truck”). However, trailers have a pneumatic parking brake (also referred to “spring brake” or “emergency brake”) that mechanically engage when t he tractor’s pressurized pneumatic lines are disconnected (e.g., via gladhand co uplers on the trailer). Thus, to allow movement of the trailer by the hostler, t he trailer parking brake has to be disengaged by pressurizing the pneumatic line s. This requires manually connecting pneumatic lines between hostler and the tra iler, as automatic connection tends to be difficult or subject to failure. Not o nly does manual connection of pneumatic lines require additional time and subjec t a user to potential risk, but it also limits the adoption of automation (e.g., automating operation of the hostler to move trailers) at such locations. Embodi ments of the disclosed subject matter may address one or more of the above-noted problems and disadvantages, among other things.”

Patent Issued for Artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted and dynamic ride profile head tracking systems and methods (USPTO 12079384)

    122-125页
查看更多>>摘要:News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “The present disclosure relates generally to amusement park -style rides/attractions, and more specifically to systems and methods for track ing, predicting, and/or utilizing head and/or eye movement in amusement park-sty le rides/attractions. “Various amusement rides have been created to provide passengers with unique mot ion and visual experiences. For example, theme rides can be implemented with sin gle-passenger or multi-passenger ride vehicles that travel along a fixed or vari able path. Ride vehicles themselves may include features providing passengers wi th varying levels of control (e.g., various buttons and knobs) over the ride veh icle and/or surrounding environment. However, traditional controls given to pass engers of a ride vehicle are generally limited when the ride vehicle follows a p re-determined, fixed path.

Patent Issued for Volumetric measurement based apparatus for dispensing spice (U SPTO 12075933)

查看更多>>摘要:This patent was filed on May 12, 2020 and was published online on September 3, 2 024. From the background information supplied by the inventors, news correspondents o btained the following quote: “Background description includes information that m ay be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presentl y claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenc ed is prior art. “Cooking automation is attaining great popularity in recent years. A robot is pr ogrammed with kitchen recipes from cookbooks, recipe cards, newspapers, and othe r sources and the robot reads the various ingredients and spices (types and amou nts) required for the recipe. While ingredients, such as meats, vegetables, grai ns, fats and the like, are fairly straightforward to measure, spices require car e, since even a small variation in the amount of spices used in the recipe can c ompletely alter the taste of the recipe.

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News – According to news reporting based on a preprint a bstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from biorxiv.org: “Sandy soils are susceptible to excessive nitrogen (N) leaching under intensive crop production which is linked with the soil\’s low n utrient holding capacity and high-water infiltration rate. Estimating soil miner al nitrogen (SMN) at the daily time-step is crucial in providing fertilizer reco mmendations balancing plant nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) and N losses to the en vironment. Crop models [e.g., Decision Support System for Agr otechnology Transfer (DSSAT)] can simulate the trend of SMN i n varied fertilizer rates and timing of application but are unable to replicate its magnitude due to the inability to capture high-water table conditions in a s ub-irrigated soil.
