According tothe high temperature experimental results, it was confirmed thatthe Charpy impact values hardly decrease in the blue brittlenesstemperature regions between 100 and 300 ℃. From theexperimental results after the heating and cooling processes, itwas clarified that the specimens subjected to the water-coolingprocess (quenching by the water) possess the low Charpy impactvalues because of the occurrence of microstructuretransformation. Furthermore, for the specimen subjected to theair-cooling process from the blue brittleness temperature, theCharpy impact values of the corner parts in the cross sectionremarkably reduce because of the strain ageing.
