查看更多>>摘要:This paper intends to analyze gender differences embedded in conversations of Pride and Prejudice written by the celebrated British woman writer Jane Austen.It employs gender differences in applying Cooperative Principles.It is concluded that women tend to be more polite and cooperative while men are ignorant of giving considerations for others and the smoothness of communication.By understanding this, miscommunications can be avoided, therefore effective and successful inter-gender conversations are possible to be achieved.
