    From tunnel boring machine to tunnel boring robot:perspectives on intelligent shield machine and its smart operation

    查看更多>>摘要:Advances in intelligent shield machines reflect an evolving trend from traditional tunnel boring machines(TBMs)to tunnel boring robots(TBRs).This shift aims to address the challenges encountered by the conventional shield machine industry arising from construction environment and manual operations.This study presents a systematic review of intelligent shield machine technology,with a particular emphasis on its smart operation.Firstly,the definition,meaning,contents,and development modes of intelligent shield machines are proposed.The development status of the intelligent shield machine and its smart operation are then presented.After analyzing the operation process of the shield machine,an autonomous operation framework considering both stand-alone and fleet levels is proposed.Challenges and recommendations are given for achieving autonomous operation.This study offers insights into the essence and developmental framework of intelligent shield machines to propel the advancement of this technology.

    查看更多>>摘要:Mathematical models can produce desired dynamics and statistical properties with the insertion of suitable nonlinear terms,while energy characteristics are crucial for practical application because any hardware realizations of nonlinear systems are relative to energy flow.The involvement of memristive terms relative to memristors enables multistability and initial-dependent property in memristive systems.In this study,two kinds of memristors are used to couple a capacitor or an inductor,along with a nonlinear resistor,to build different neural circuits.The corresponding circuit equations are derived to develop two different types of memristive oscillators,which are further converted into two kinds of memristive maps after linear transformation.The Hamilton energy function for memristive oscillators is obtained by applying the Helmholz theorem or by mapping from the field energy of the memristive circuits.The Hamilton energy functions for both memristive maps are obtained by replacing the gains and discrete variables for the memristive oscillator with the corresponding parameters and variables.The two memristive maps have rich dynamic behaviors including coherence resonance under noisy excitation,and an adaptive growth law for parameters is presented to express the self-adaptive property of the memristive maps.A digital signal process(DSP)platform is used to verify these results.Our scheme will provide a theoretical basis and experimental guidance for oscillator-to-map transformation and discrete map-energy calculation.

    Preparation and properties of poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(3-acrylamidophenylboronic acid)glucose responsive particles and their hyaluronic acid-based microneedle patches

    查看更多>>摘要:To overcome the pain and risk of hypoglycemia in insulin administration,glucose-responsive microneedles have been developed by researchers,which could release insulin according to the blood glucose level.We designed a kind of particles by a reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)method containing a phenylboronic acid group as the sensor of glucose and carrier of insulin.poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)-2-(dodecylthio(thiocarbonyl)thio)-2-methylpropionic acid(DDMAT)was synthesized as a macromolecular RAFT agent,which was then reacted with 3-acrylamidophenylboronic acid(AAPBA)to synthesize the block copolymer PEG-b-PAAPBA.Glucose-responsive particles loaded with insulin were prepared by self-assembly based on hydrophilic-hydrophobic interactions.Microneedle patches loaded with glucose-responsive particles were prepared using hyaluronic acid as the substrate.The insulin release behavior of the particles in glucose solutions of 0,100,and 400 mg/dL showed significant glucose responsiveness and good biosafety.The results of blood glucose control experiments in rats indicate that a single microneedle patch can effectively maintain normal blood glucose for over 7 h.

    Investigation of mechanical failure performance of a large-diameter shield tunnel segmental ring

    查看更多>>摘要:The control criteria for structural deformation and the evaluation of operational safety performance for large-diameter shield tunnel segments are not yet clearly defined.To address this issue,a refined 3D finite element model was established to analyze the transverse deformation response of a large-diameter segmental ring.By analyzing the stress,deformation,and crack distribution of large-diameter segments under overload conditions,the transverse deformation of the segmental ring could be divided into four stages.The main reasons for the decrease in segmental ring stiffness were found to be the extensive development of cracks and the complete formation of four plastic hinges.The deformation control value for the large-diameter shield tunnel segment is chosen as 8‰ of the segment's outer diameter,representing the transverse deformation during the formation of the first semi-plastic hinge(i.e.,the first yield point)in the structure.This control value can serve as a reinforcement standard for preventing the failure of large-diameter shield tunnel segments.The flexural bearing capacity characteristic curve of segments was used to evaluate the structural strength of a large-diameter segmental ring.It was discovered that the maximum internal force combination of the segment did not exceed the segment ultimate bearing capacity curve(SUBC).However,the combination of internal force at 9°,85°,and 161° of the joints,and their symmetrical locations about the 0°-180° axis exceeded the joint ultimate bearing capacity curve(JUBC).The results indicate that the failure of the large-diameter segment lining was mainly due to insufficient joint strength,leading to an instability failure.The findings from this study can be used to develop more effective maintenance strategies for large-diameter shield tunnel segments to ensure their long-term performance.

    Comparative analysis between single-train passing and double-train intersection in a tunnel

    查看更多>>摘要:Aerodynamic pressure significantly impacts the scientific evaluation of tunnel service performance.The aerodynamic pressure of two trains running in a double-track tunnel is considerably more complicated than that of a single train.We used the numerical method to investigate the difference in aerodynamic pressure between a single train and two trains running in a double-track tunnel.First,the numerical method was verified by comparing the results of numerical simulation and on-site monitoring.Then,the characteristics of aerodynamic pressure were studied.Finally,the influence of various train-tunnel factors on the characteristics of aerodynamic pressure was investigated.The results show that the aerodynamic pressure variation can be divided into stage Ⅰ:irregular pressure fluctuations before the train tail leaves the tunnel exit,and stage Ⅱ:periodic pressure declines after the train tail leaves the tunnel exit.In addition,the aerodynamic pressure simultaneously jumps positively or drops negatively for a single train or two trains running in double-track tunnel scenarios.The pressure amplitude in the two-train case is higher than that for a single train.The maximum positive peak pressure difference(PSTP)and maximum negative peak pressure difference(PSTN)increase as train speed rises to the power from 2.256 to 2.930 in stage Ⅰ.The PSTP and PSTN first increase and then decrease with the increase of tunnel length in stage Ⅰ.The PSTP and PSTN increase as the blockage ratio rises to the power from 2.032 to 2.798 in stages Ⅰ and Ⅱ.
