Objective:To study the effects of fiber level on blood physiological and biochemical indexes,serum cytokines and thymus microstructure of Wanxi white geese,for exploring the appropriate dietary fiber supplemental level for Wanxi white geese.Methods:200 Wanxi white geese were randomly divided into 3%,5%,7%,9%and 11%fiber level groups with 5 replicates per group.Results:In 28 days of age,WBC in 7%,9%and 11%fiber groups was significantly higher than that in 5%fiber group(P<0.01).WBC in 7%and 9%fiber groups was significantly higher than that in 3%group(P<0.01).In 28 days of age,CRE-E in 9%and 11%fiber groups was significantly higher than that in 3%and 5%groups(P<0.01).CRE-E in 11%fiber group was remarkably higher than that in 7%fiber group(P<0.05).CRE-E in 7%group was remarkably higher than that in 3%group(P<0.05).In 14 days of age,the levels of IL-10 and IFN-γ in 3%fiber group were significantly higher than those in other experimental groups(P<0.01).In 28 days of age,the levels of IL-10 and IFN-γ in 3%fiber group were significantly higher than those in other experimental groups(P<0.01),and IL-6 in 3%fiber group was remarkably higher than that in 9%group(P<0.05).In 28 days of age the cortical area of 5%and 7%of Wanxi white geese was remarkably higher than that of 3%and 11%groups(P<0.05),the Corticomedullary ratio of 7%fiber group was significantly higher than that of 3%group(P<0.01),and the skin-pulp ratio of 5%group was remarkably higher than that of 3%group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The dietary supplementation of 7%and 9%fiber has been shown to enhance the levels of white blood cells and red blood cells,as well as increase the concentrations of CRE-E,TG,TC,HDL,LDL,which are relevant markers associated with amino acid and lipid metabolism.Moreover,it effectively reduces the levels of IL-10,IFN-γ,IL-6,which are inflammatory response-related factors while promoting thymus development in Wanxi white geese.Based on immune indicators observed in this experiment,a dietary fiber level ranging from 6.83%to 8.66%is recommended for Wanxi white geese during their brooding period
