Objective:To define the optimal cold storage conditions for Telenomus remus,to obtain a stable and sufficient number of parasitoids and meet the needs of biological control. Methods:By setting cold acclimation, different cold storage temperatures, and cold storage times, this study investigates the effects of different cold storage methods on the emergence rate, developmental duration, and female ratio of parents and offspring of Telenomus remus. Results:Different cold storage temperatures and durations have significant effects on the growth and development of parents and offspring of Telenomus remus. After cold acclimation, the emergence rate of parents and offspring of Telenomus remus was higher than that of direct cold storage, and after cold acclimation, the female ratio was slightly improved, but the development period was significantly prolonged.Based on these results,we recommend the following cold storage protocols for producation after cold acclimation, the parent Telenomus remus is storaged at 10 ℃ for 5,8 d,and the offspring Telenomus remus is storaged at 4 ℃for 3,5 d or at 10 ℃ for 5,8 d.Conclusion:The research results provide scientific basis for the cold storage technology of Telenomus remus,in order to better apply it to biological control.
