Objective:This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and evolution of APMV in wild birds in China. Methods:APMV was isolated from wild birds by RT-PCR,chicken embryo isolation, hemagglutination test and genetic evolution analysis. Results:A total of 9 APMV positive samples were detected in 1 219 samples, and the infection rate was 0.74%.The positive rate of APMV-1 was 0.66%.One sample was positive for APMV-4,and the infection rate was 0.08%.A strain pigeon source PPMV-1 was successfully isolated from the chicken embryo toxicity.Phylogenetic analysis showed that the isolate obtained from the pigeon belonged to genotype VI.2.1.1.2.2,which was consistent with the genotype prevalent in China in recent years. Conclusion:Wild birds play an important role in the transmission of APMV,and monitoring of wild bird source PPMV-1 should be strengthened. The research results provided a theoretical basis for early warning and prevention of public health events that may be caused by cross species transmission.
