Objective:To explore the effects of different concentrations of NAA and IBA on cutting seedling raising of Hydrangea macrophylla. Methods:Using coconut bran as cutting medium and the branches of Hydrangea macrophylla Endless Summer as test material, the cutting seedling experiments were respectively carried out with α-Naphthaleneacetic acid(NAA)and 3-indolebutyric acid(IBA)of 0(CK),100,200,300,500,1 000 mg/L on the earliest rooting days. The growth indexes and physiological characteristics of Hydrangea macrophylla cuttings were investigated. Results:NAA at 100 mg/L and IBA at 200 mg/L could significantly accelerate the rooting and survival of Hydrangea macrophylla cuttings and promote the growth and development of cutting seedlings. The metabolism of protective enzymes such as SOD,POD,CAT was stable and the permeability of plasma membrane was maintained. When NAA concentration 200 mg/L and IBA concentration 300 mg/L,the rooting of Hydrangea macrophylla cuttings was inhibited and delayed significantly, which resulted in survival rate, balance of antioxidant enzyme system, cell membrane damage aggravated, and chlorophyll content affected its normal growth and development. Conclusion:The optimum concentrations of NAA and IBA were 100 mg/L and 200 mg/L respectively, and the difference in effect between the two was not significant. The high concentrations of NAA and IBA significantly inhibited the growth and metabolic balance of Hydrangea macrophylla cuttings. If the economic cost was considered,it was recommended to choose 100 mg/L of NAA.
