Evaluation and Experience Analysis of Poverty Alleviation in Old Revolutionary Base Area of Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province in the New Era
It is necessary to summarize our practice and experience in poverty alleviation for consolidating and expanding its achievements.Using old revolutionary base area of Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province as the research area,a comprehensive evaluation index system for poverty alleviation effectiveness is established based on three dimensions:people's livelihood,education and medical care,and overall economic strength.Furthermore,an empirical analysis is conducted to assess both the comprehensive effects of poverty alleviation and the obstacles to it for 19 counties.The research reveals that from 2012 to 2020,the area has demonstrated impressive accomplishments in poverty alleviation,with a noteworthy annual increase of 8.73％ in the comprehensive development index.Notably,Yeji District in Lu'an City,Jinzhai County,and Taihu County in Anqing City are the three spots that have experienced the most significant growth.Presently,the main constraints hindering further progress in the area primarily lie in education,medical care,and overall economic strength.In the practice of poverty alleviation,the area has taken the planning as guidance,upholding the Party's leadership, adopting targeted strategies,ensuring the principal status of the people,improving social mobilization,and providing a reference for consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation in current and future periods.
