Research on the Social Basis and Practical Patterns of Small Farmers'Integration into Multifunctional Agriculture:An Analysis of Multiple Cases in Jiangsu Province
As an important part of modern agriculture,multifunctional agriculture has attracted widespread attention from the society,but at present,there is a lack of in-depth and systematic analysis of the basis of small farmers'integration into the development of multifunctional agriculture and its practical patterns.In this context,the policy support from the central and local governments,the logic in small farmers'action driven by their economic rationality,and the choices of returned farmers to realize their values and carry forward cultural heritage have laid a solid foundation for the integration of small farmers into multifunctional agriculture.In practice,five development modes have been presented,namely government-led mode,enterprise-led mode,society-assisted mode,village-enterprise cooperated mode,and farmer-initiated mode.In order to promote the integration of small farmers into the development of multifunctional agriculture,we should expand the integration of the three industries,develop a diversified industry pattern,place emphasis on the empowerment of farmers to reinforce their principal role in multifunctional agriculture,and build a platform for farmers'cooperation based on the collective economic organization of the village.
