Effects of initial density of hybrid Liriodendron on the growth
The growth of hybrid Liriodendron under the four different initial densities was conducted at Dayang of suburban Hefei. The result showed that the initial density affected the growth of DBH and height to some extent. Based on the results of comparative analyses and significant test, no significant differences were found for the annual increments of DBH and height among the different densities. However, the mean increments of DBH and height were significantly different among the initial densities. The result indicated that the appropriate initial densities of hybrid Liriodendron were 2 m × 2 m or 3 m ×3 m.
