Physiological and biochemical responses to anthracnose disease of four main walnut cultivars in Sichuan Province
In this study, taken four varieties with relatively large cultivation areas in Sichuan Province,i.e.,'Wanghe 2','Chuanhe 66','Yanyuanzao',and'Shuoxing'as the research objects,an artificial infection with an-thracnose was carried out,the leaf disease characteristics and related physiological and biochemical indicators were measured after infection, and the resistance to anthracnose was comprehensively evaluated. The results showed that:as the infection time of anthrax prolonged, the leaf incidence rate, disease spot area, expansion ratio of new disease spots and disease index of the four varieties showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing, among them, the largest incidence and disease spot area were'Wanghe 2'and'Shuoxing',and the smallest was'Yanyuanzao';the chlorophyll content and CAT activity showed a continuous decreasing trend, while the MDA content,POD activity and SOD activity showed an increasing or decreasing trend. The results of correlation anal-ysis and grey correlation degree showed that the POD activities in the four varieties were significantly positively correlated with the disease spot area, the expansion ratio of new disease spot area and disease index(P<0.01),while their chlorophyll contents were significantly negatively correlated with the disease spot area, the incidence rate, the expansion ratio of new disease spot area and disease index(P<0.01);the comprehensive correlation order of various disease resistance indicators in the four walnut varieties was POD activity>MDA content>SOD activi-ty>CAT activity>chlorophyll content.
