Evaluation of the immunizing effect of adjuvant of alcohol extract of Polygonatum sibiricum F. on mice
In order to evaluate the immunization effect of alcohol extract of Polygonatum sibiricum F.adju-vant in mice,60 ICR mice were randomly divided into 12 groups,i.e.,blank group, model group, control group,PSE30 group (low, medium and high),PSE50 group (low, medium and high),PSE70 group (low, medium and high),which were regularly inoculated with OVA to detect the number and activity of immune cells, serum spe-cific antibody levels, proliferative capacity of splenocytes and the content of secreted IL-2.The results showed that compared with the model group,NK cell activity was significantly increased in the medium and high dose groups of PSE30,the high dose group of PSE50,and the high dose group of PSE70 (P<0.05);the antibody titers of IgG,IgG1,IgG2a and IgG2b of mice in the medium and high dose groups of PSE50 were significantly elevated (P<0.05);the high dose group of PSE50 and the low, high dose groups of PSE70all promoted the proliferation of mouse splenocytes (P<0.05);the content of IL-2 secreted by mouse splenocytes in the middle and high dose groups of PSE50 and the high dose group of PSE70 was significantly elevated (P<0.05);in the control group, the number of neutrophils,NK cell activity,IgG,IgG1,IgG2a and IgG2b antibody titers were all highly significantly elevated and promoted the proliferation and secretion of IL-2 by splenocytes (P<0.01).In conclusion, the adjuvant of flavonoid extracts significantly improved the cellular and humoral immune functions of mice, and the best ef-fect was observed in the middle and high dose groups of PSE50.
