Analysis of nutritional value of lily and optimization of rapid propagation system
In this study, the differences in field phenotype and nutritional composition of the bulbs of five differ-ent colors of the dual-use lilies(white,yellow,orange-yellow,fuchsia and yellow-red)were analyzed, and the tissue culture and rapid propagation system were optimized. The results showed that there were significant differences in plant height among the tested lily varieties except for the flower color.Among them, the white lily plant height was the highest, and yellow-red compound color lily plant height was the lowest. In terms of functional composition, the nutri-tional value of orange-yellow lilies was very distinctive, with the highest contents of polysaccharides, total phenolic acids, and total saponins among the assayed varieties, which amounted to 50.47,11.56 and 2.83 mgg-1,respectively;the yellow-red composite-color lilies had a relative high antioxidant potential, with the highest total flavonoids content, which amounted to 3.10 mg·g-1.Through the optimization of culture conditions and media, the optimal disinfection method of Lily bulbs explants was observed as a 10-min treatment with 5%sodium hypochlorite. For the induction of lily adventitious buds, the optimum hormone concentrations were found to be 1.0 mg·L-1 6-BA and 0.2 mg·L-1 NAA,while for bud proliferation,it was 2.0 mg·L-1 6-BA and 1.0 mg·L-1 NAA.Lily rooting was most successful in a me-dium with concentrations of 0.3 mg L-1 IBA and 0.5 mg·L-1 NAA in the MS culture medium. The above research re-sults lay a theoretical foundation for the mining of the health value of edible lily and the promotion of seedlings.
