Research Advance on Lignin Biosynthesis and Genetic Regulation
The lignin is one of the main components in vascular plants. Its presence reduces the nutrition of feedstuff in stock and has the negative effects and pollution on pulping wood processing. In this article the composition of lignin, the reaction step, the enzyme involved in the lignin biosynthesis pathway and the economic importance were introduced. The genetic regulation of lignin biosynthesis was summarized and its prospect of development was indicated.
