Study on the Antifeedant Activity of Ethanol Extracts from Evodia rutaecarpa ( Juss. ) Benth. against Pieris rapae L.
[Objective] The purpose of this research was to provide test base for controlling Pieris rapae L. with non-pollution and developing Evodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth as the environmental protection type pesticide. [Method] The antifeedant activity of ethanol extracts from E. rutaecarpa against P. rapae was determined in the laboratory. [Result] After the ethanol extracts from E. rutaecarpa was separated by liquid liquid extraction method primarily, the water phase had the strongest antifeedant activity against P. rapae larval, with the choice and non-choice antifeedant activity were increased 32.48% and 22.37% resp. than that before separation. [Conclusion] The ethanol extracts from E. rutaecarpa had strong choice and non-choice antifeedant activity against P. rapae. The higher the extract concentration was, the more obvious the effect was.
