Observation of Fescue's Growth Adaptability in Ankang Area
[Objective] The research aimed to discuss the adaptability of fescue in Ankang area. [Method] Three experiment regions, riverway, low and middle mountain area, were chosen by height above sea level and phonological, plant height, grass output and heat-resistant were observed and measured, respectively. [Result] Seeding in autumn was suitable for fescue. The time for tasseling and blooming was in the first and middle 10 days of May. The average height was 103.4 cm, and grass output could reach 56 415 kg/hm2. The fescue has strong adaptability, and it could hold green in winter and growth well in 38℃ high temperature in summer. [Conclusion] The fescue represented characteristics in heat -resistant, drought-enduring, rapid growth, longtime green and manageable, which was appropriate for Ankang area and was a choiceness grass of zoology -construction and green-industry.
