Influence of Different Uncasing Time on Quality and Storage of Mantianhong Pear Fruit
[Objective] The aim was to improve the fruit quality of red - skinned pear. [Method] The Mantianhong pears in Baishui Country and Pucheng Country of Shanxi Province were bagged with Jinguo black bags and the influences of different uncasing time on the appearance quality, internal quality and storage quality of Mantianhong pear fruit were studied. [Result] The fruit rust index and the chlorophyll content of Mantianhong pear were higher and the fruit firmness was lower when the uncasing time was earlier. The fruit rust and sunburn were all serious, the fruit had poor colouring and the fruit firmness was lower when the fruits were uncased at 25 - 35 d before harvest (early and middle August) . The fruit rust and sunburn were all light, the fruit had good colouring, the fruit firmness was higher and the storability was good when the fruits were uncased at 10 - 15 d before harvest (in later August). It should pay attention to prevent the occurrence of black - dot disease and fruit cracking in the irrigation area with low altitude and the Yuan area with high altitude and without irrigation condition should pay attention to prevent the occurrence of sunburn. [Conclusion] 10- 15 d before harvest (in later August) was the optimum uncasing time of Mantianhong pear.
