Application of DTOPSIS Method in Appraising New Alfalfa Varieties
[Objective] The study aimed to provide reference for screening excellent alfalfa varieties. [Method] Twelve introduced alfalfa varieties were evaluated using DTOPSIS Method. Ten characters such as herbage yield, growth rates, plant height, etc were analyzed, and the relative problems about DTOPSIS analysis in the comprehensive evaluation of new alfalfa varieties were discussed. [Result] The study showed that Pirate, Siriver and Quadrella owned the high yield and good quality and could be applied broadly. [Conclusion] DTOPSIS Method was more suitable for assessing alfalfa cultivars than the conventional yield analysis solely, and had broad application prospect in the alfalfa varieties' evaluation.
