Breeding of Native Tea Varieties of Duyun Maojian Tea
[Objective] The purpose was to investigate the wild tea resources in Duyun and its similar ecological environments and find and cultivate native dominant tea varieties. [Method] The native high-yield and good-quality tea strains with different phonological characters were selected out through resources investigation and cutting experiment. [Result] In the same place with same climate condition, the budding dates of axillary buds of different clones were different. The earliest started to germinate on Feb. 19th and the latest did not germinate until Mar. 25th. The flushes number showed extremely significantly positive correlation with flushes weight and their correlation coefficient was 0.868 2. The results of variance analysis and F-test on flushes branch number showed that there was extremely significant difference among the flushes branch numbers of different clones (varieties) of native tea trees of Duyun Maojian tea. The flushes branch numbers of clones Duyun67, Duyun12, Duyun70, Duyun15, Duyun63 and Duyun79 were significantly higher that of the other 66 clones and they were 57.667, 44.667, 38.500, 37.333, 36.500 and 34.500 resp. [Conclusion] Six native high-yield and good-quality tea strains were selected out and they were Duyun79, Duyun49, Duyun48, Duyun21, Duyun67 and Duyun42.
