Pollen Morphology and Scatter Way of Cryptomeria fortunei
[Objective] The research aimed to provide theoretical basis for seed production of Cryptomeria fortunei. [Method]A 100-years-old plant of Cryptomeria fortunei was used to observe the pollen scatter way by taking photographs everyday and study the pollen morphology by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) . [ Result ] The bracts of male cone could protect the pollen in the rainy day. The pollen scatter was comprehensive affected by rainfall, temperature, wind speed, air pressure and relative humidity. There was an obvious papilla in distal side of a pollen. [Conclusion] The study was benefit for the improved varieties production.
