The quality control (QC) technology of automatic hourly pressure contains climatic limits check, height limits check, station extreme check, internal consistency check, temporal consistency check, and space consistency check. This QC technology is applied to automatic hourly pressure records (2009) from 3 393 stations in China. The QC results showed that the data quality of national weather stations was better than that of regional automatic weather stations. The climatic limits check, station extreme check and space consistency check were the most important technology. The QC technology can be used for real-time and unreal-time automatic hourly pressure.
