Development of American Landscape Architecture and Its Enlightenment to China
This paper reviews and analyzes the successful development path of American landscape architecture and summarizes its experiences. Compared with the landscape architecture in China, the enlightenment of the development of American landscape architecture to China was analyzed from five aspects including the times background, educational system, theoretical system, professional practice and application of new techniques and methods. By taking into account the actual situation of China and drawing lessons from the successful development experiences of American landscape architecture, the healthy development of the landscape architecture in China could be promoted.
