Primary Evaluation on Feeding Value for Leaf Power of Broussonetia papyrifera
[Objective] The study aimed to explore the feasibility and use proportion for the leaf powder Broussonetia papyrifera used for feeding the pigs. [ Method] The fatten pigs with the close day age and the body weight of about 25 kg were selected to make for the feeding trials on the leaf powder of B. Papyrifera. In the tested feed components, the leaf powder amount of 5% , 10% and 15% were added to replace the soybean meal and wheat bran and the leaf powder amount of 15% were added to replace the whole material. [ Result] No significant difference was found between each treatment group and between the test groups and the control group in feeding effects such as average daily gain and feed conversion ratio. The costs per kg weight gain in treatment group I, II, III and IV was 6.09% , 3.66% , -8.69% and 6. 11% lower than that in the control group, respectively. [Conclusion] The leaf powder B. Papyrifera could be used in feeding the fattening pigs with the adding amount of 15%.
