Research on the Relation between Land Use and Carbon Emissions in China
This article firstly calculated the carbon emissions of national forest land, grass land, crop land and construction land by using carbon emission coefficient method, then analyzed the variation tendency and regional difference of seven carbon emission indexes including the source of carbon emissions, carbon source, carbon sink, carbon emissions of construction land, ratio of carbon source to carbon sink, per capita carbon e-missions, carbon emissions per km2 from 2003 to 2009. As indicated by the results, the carbon emissions kept increasing during the seven years, but the increase speed gradually slowed down; the largest carbon emissions concentrated in the provinces and regions around Bohai area, Yangtze River delta and Pearl River delta. Finally relevant suggestion were proposed, such as establishing the compensation mechanism for ecological carbon sink, integrating the carbon emission into the political achievements appraisal system, optimizing land management and promoting the reduction of carbon emissions.
