Effects of Cutting Substrate and Plant Growth Regulator on the Rooting of Rosa banksiae cv.Albo-plena
[ Objective ] The aim was to study the effects of cutting substrates and plant growth regulators on the cuttage rooting of Rosa banksiae cv. albo-plena. [ Method ] The experiment materials were newly growing and half-lignified branches of R. banksiae cv. albo-plena, then the effects of different treatments on the average rooting rate, root number and root length of cuttingslips were analyzed . [ Result ] There was the best effect when the vermiculite was taked as cutting substrate, then the average rooting rale, root number and root length of cuttingslips were 78. 3% , 3. 3 short roots and 3. 6 cm respectively . For the different treatments of plant growth regulators, with water as the control. The best effect was obtained with the treatment of 100 mg/L IBA, the average rooting rate, root number and root, langth of cuttingslips were 75.0% < 6. 2 short roots and 3.3 cm respectively. [ Conclusion ] The best treatment for the cutting propagation of R. banksiae cv. albo-plena which was dipped in 100 tng/L IBA for 2 h and planted in the cutting substrate of vermiculite.
