Research Progress of Coleopteran Insect Species Antennal Sensilla
Scanning electron microscopy were highlight in entomology field recently years and were widely used in research on insect antennal sensilla.Sensilla chaetica, sensilla basiconica, sensilla trichodea, sensilla campaniformia, sensilla grooved peg, sensilla gemmiformium, sensilla finger, B(o)hm bristles were common sensillum types of coleopteran insect species.The structure and function of each antennal sensillum type were summarized.Research directions on antennal sensilla of coleopteran insect species in the future were also discussed.
