Anlysis on the Water Storage Capacity of Juglans Mandshurica's Natural Secondary Forest in the East Liaoning Mountain Region
[Objective] We analyzed the water conservation capacity of natural secondary forest of Juglars mandshurica in Liaodong area.[Method] The effects of stand structure type, stand density on soil water storage capacity were studied.[Resuh] It turned out that the soil of natural secondary forest of Juglans mandshurica was looser and more porous than the soil of Larix gmelinii,it also has a stronger water storage capacity. The species of natural secondary forest of Juglans mandshurica has no significant impact on the water conservation capacity, but the stand density does have a significant impact on the water storage capacity of the natural secondary forest. What's more, water storage capacity of forest soil has great differences in different site conditions. The higher the slope is,the lower water conservation capacity it has.The north slope has a better storage capacity than the south slope.[Conclusion] The water storage capacity of Natural secondary forest of Juglans mandshurica has been influenced by many factors.
