On Spatial-temporal Dynamic Monitoring of Protection Forest in Western Inner Mongolia
With Inner Mongolia Tumotezuoqi as study area, selecting Landsat for the 1980 MSS,1990 TM,2000 ETM and 2007 ETM remote sensing data as a data source, with the support of Erdas and ArcGIS systems, combined with land use maps (1:100 thousands) and woodland interpretation sign, the forest land information was extracted by visual interpretation, the remote sensing dynamic monitoring and analysis of forest land in Tumotezuqi in recent 30 years was conducted. The results showed that:① The forest area reduced year by year.Among them,1980 to 1990,the most dramatic changes in the relative decrease of 2.2%.② The main types of forest land are mixed broad leaf-coniferforest,shrub forest. The area of coniferous forest, broad leaf forest and mixed broad leaf-coniferforest are decreasing, while shrub area is increasing.Tumotezuoqi changes in forest area are caused by both the natural factors and human activities. The drought, more sand and unreasonable development and utilization of forest land are the main causes.
