An Estimation of Soil Organic Carbon Storage in Mangrove Wetlands of Guangxi
Taking Mao Wei Sea mangrove nature reserve as a typical sample area, organic carbon storage of mangrove wetland sediment was estimated according to sample analysis. The results showed that:the order of soil organic carbon storage was mixed species > Aegiceras corniculatum > bare flat, the average content organic carbon in the mangorove wetland soil (0-50 cm depth) were 2.797%,1.218% and 0.870% respectively; The order of soil organic carbon storage per unit area is mixed species > Aegiceras corniculatum > bare flat, carbon storage in the mangrove wetland soil (0-50 cm depth)were 142.79,47.25 and 47.21 t/hm2 respectively.Contrast with the mangrove wetland surrounding area, soil carbon storage of mixed species in Qinzhou Bay close to that of Vicennia mariana in Shenzhen Bay and Haikou, but much lower than that of Kandelia candel in Shenzhen Futian and Aegiceras corniculatum in Haikou. The soil carbon storage of Aegiceras corniculatum and bare flat in Qinzhou Bay is closer to that of bare flat in Shenzhen Bay.
