Analysis on Temporal and Spatial Change of Jianghan Plain Land Use/Cover Based on Landscape Pattern Index
With TM / ETM + remote sensing images of Jianghan Plain in 1993,1994,2010,2011 as basic database,land use/cover data of different periods were obtained,the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of Jianghan Plain land use/cover were deeply analyzed by using landscaoe pattern index.The results showed that during 1994-2010,the cultivated land was the advantage landscape of Jianghan Plain,but its dominant position was on the decline.The number of patch and patch density of cultivated land,construction land,forest and garden land,rivers and lakes had increased.The patch area of cultivated land,rivers,lakes and unused land had decreased.In contrary,the patch area of constnuction land,forest and garden land and pond had increased.The Shannon' s diversity index,landscape shape index,and landscape fragmentation index of the whole Jianghan Plain had increased.The landscape dominance index had decreased.So the landscape diversity levels had risen,the degree of fragmentation and heterogeneity had increased and the integrity and connectivity of Jianghan Plain had been destroyed.
