Objective] The aim was to establish determination method for sulfide in soil and sediment.[Method] Sulfide in soil and sediment was processed by acidification nitrogen blowing and was determined by methylene blue spectrophotometry.[Result] The method showed good lin-earity in the concentration range of 0-70 mg/L.The detection limits were 0.04 mg/kg when the sampling weight was 20.0 g.The RSD was under 10.0% by 6 times detection. The sample recovery rate was above 90.0%.[ Conclusion] Using methylene blue spectrophotometry to determine sulfide in soil and sediment is simple, precision and accuracy can meet the requirements of actual sample analysis.
