Sounding and surface observation data were used to analyze a rare autumn rainstorm weather process in Guangxi in November 11-13, 2005.Circulation characteristics and weather scale influencing system were analyzed; and the physical quantity was diagnosed.Results showed that subtropical high in the west Pacific maintained stable position and strength.Mid-latitude westerlies usually fluctuated.Eastward development of high altitude low trough was the big circulation background causing the rainstorm weather.Low level shear line, jet stream and cold air south-ward were the major weather system causing this rainstorm.Joint influence of positive vorticity advection, strong upward movement, good thermal condition and water vapor condition finally led to this rainstorm.
