Starting from the aspects of farmers’ preference on land use and the inhabitants’ regional identity,the farmers’ preference on land use was divided into two categories:one was agricultural production function preference,the other was commercial production function preference. Mathematical method was used to calculate the comprehensive indexes of inhabitants’ regional identity and built a binary logistic regression model to study the correlation between the preference and the regional identity.The results showed that farmers in areas of high degree of regional identi-ty tended to put more effort on commercial crop.When rearranging land or planning land uses,the local government can increase areas for farming or otherwise increase areas for shops and factories according to the regional identity degree,so as to improve people’s satisfaction.
