Principal Component Analysis of Body Size and Weight of Xinjiang Beef
Fifty-two adult Xinjiang beef cattle were selected for analyzing body size and body weight,and two principal components with cumulative contribution rate of 72.767 % were selected.The results showed that the variation of rump length,lumbar hips,hip width,horn width and body weight of Xinjiang beef cattle was obvious,and the potential for breeding was large.From eigenvalue and cumulative contribution rate of the main component,the first and second principal components played a leading role.The first principal component mainly reflected the appearance characteristics of the body,the second principal component mainly reflected the chest width characteristics.
