Allelopathy of Fruit Extraction from Sinojackia macrocarpa an Endangered Plant
In order to investigate its allelopathy, the fruit extract of Sinojackia macrocarpa fruit was used to germinate Chinese cabbage seeds.Four concentration gradients of 25,50,75 and 100 g/L were set in the extracts.Meanwhile, the seeds of Chinese cabbage were cultured with dis-tilled water as the control, and the germination rate and germination potential were measured. After 10 days, seedling height, root length, fresh weight and other indicators were measured. The effect of fruit extract of Sinojackia macrocarpa on its growth was analyzed. The results showed as follows:extracts of different concentration gradients had no significant effect on the germination rate of Chinese cabbage seeds, but germination potential decreased significantly with the increase of extract concentration(P<0.05);seedling growth showed different trends with increasing concentration.Among them, the root length of Chinese cabbage showed inhibitory effect under different concentration gradient extracts, and the inhibitory effect became more obvious with the increase of extract concentration. The seedling height of Chinese cabbage was promoted with the increase of extract concentration. The fresh weight of Chinese cabbage had no significant difference compared with the control group.
