Structural Characteristics of Tramtrack Protein and Its High Expression in the Head of Zygotes and Fifth Instar Nymphs of Sogatella furcifera
[Objective]To understand the structural characteristics of Tramtrack protein, and its expression in eggs and the 5th instar nymph.[Method]The structure of Tramtrack protein of Sogatella furcifera encoded by the obtained cDNA sequence of tramtrack gene was analyzed.[Result]The protein was a basic protein,no signal peptide,a hydrophilic protein with multiple phosphorylation sites and its isoelectric point was 8.24.The three-dimensional structure of the protein was mainly α-helix,and a small part wasβ-fold.Quantitative PCR detected that the mRNA level of tramtrack gene in the fertilized eggs of white-backed planthopper was much higher compare to that in unfertilized eggs.In addi-tion,the mRNA level of tramtrack gene in the head of fifth instar nymphs was much higher compare to that in the chest or abdomen.[Conclu-sion]This is the first detailed report on the Tramtrack protein of white-backed planthopper, which lays a foundation for further in vitro expres-sion and functional study of this protein gene, and is conducive to the future exploration of the specific function and regulatory role of this pro-tein in the growth and development of rice planthopper.
