Effects of Meteorological Factors on Population Dynamics of Olive Pimelocerus perforatus
The population dynamics of Pimelocerus perforates Roelofs in Longnan City were monitored by insect traps, and the key meteorologi-cal factors affecting the population dynamics were analyzed in combination with the meteorological factors in the same period. The results pro-vide a basis for the prediction and scientific prevention and control of Pimelocerus perforates Roelofs in Longnan City. The results showed that there were two generations per year in Longnan area. The mature larvae mainly overwintered in the branches, and some adults overwintered in the branches. The adults were first seen in mid-March,peaked in early May and mid-late August, and began to overwinter in mid-November.Statistical analysis showed that the main meteorological factors affecting the number of adults were different in different damage periods. From mid-March to early May,the main driving factor for the number of adults was rainfall(P<0.01).From mid-May to late August, the number of adults was significantly negatively correlated with the average maximum temperature(P<0.01).From early September to early November, temperature(average temperature, maximum temperature, minimum temperature)was the key meteorological factor affecting the number of a-dults at this stage, and the average temperature had the strongest correlation.
