The cultivation of innovative talents in agriculture and forestry universities is related to the realization of the national innovation driven development strategy and the service of the strategy of rural vitalization.Therefore,agriculture and forestry universities should carry out the education of innovation and entrepreneurship for students.The paper analyzes the current situation of the innovation and entrepreneurship education of agriculture and forestry universities based on the components of innovation and entrepreneurship education.This paper puts for-ward some policies and suggestions to promote the innovation and entrepreneurship education of students in agricultural and forestry colleges and universities,including of guiding students to set up innovative and entrepreneurial consciousness,building a mechanism of integrating pro-fessional education with innovative and entrepreneurial education,paying attention to the construction of the campus cultural atmosphere of in-novative and entrepreneurial education,and establishing the cooperative education mode mechanism of a university with the government,in-dustry and enterprise,etc.
