Research on the Spatiotemporal Evolution of the Coupling and Coordination Between New Urbanization and Digital Economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt
The Yangtze River Economic Belt is an important strategic economic belt in China. Exploring the coordinated relationship between its new urbanization and digital economy is of great significance for China to build a new development pattern and realize "Chinese path to modernization". Based on panel data of new urbanization and digital economy in 11 provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt in China from 2011 to 2020,a composite system comprehensive evaluation index system is established. The entropy weight method,coupling co-ordination degree model,and spatial autocorrelation model are used to analyze the level of coupling coordination development. The results show that the new urbanization,digital economy,and the coupling coordination degree of the two in the Yangtze River Economic Belt are showing an increasing trend year by year,with significant regional heterogeneity;the development of new urbanization and digital economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is imbalanced,and the level of digital economy generally lags behind that of new urbanization;the coupling and coordinated development of new urbanization and digital economy in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has significant spatial agglomeration characteristics. Therefore,China should explore plans and strategies for promoting digital economy in differentiated regions,leverage the radia-tion effect of the Yangtze River Delta region,and promote the early realization of new urbanization in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
