The agronomy major of Guangxi University has trained a large number of high-level talents and innovative and applied talents for the country and Guangxi. In view of the need for development under the background of new agricultural science,taking the agronomy major of Guangxi University as an example,this paper discussed the existing problems in the talent cultivation of agronomy major,the advantages of ag-ricultural resources of Guangxi University,and the cultivation mode of innovative talents in agronomy major,so as to provide ideas and refer-ences for the cultivation of agricultural and forestry talents in agricultural universities.
