Review of Precision Spraying Methods Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Plant Protection
As an emerging agricultural technology, agricultural drones play a crucial role in disease and pest control due to their efficiency, precision, and flexibility. The review provides a detailed overview of key technologies in precision spraying, including the development status of agricultural drones, path planning algorithms, sprayer design, and drift control. Through analysis and synthesis of relevant literature, the re-view summarizes the characteristics and applications of path planning algorithms for agricultural drones, with a focus on classical algorithms, genetic algorithms, ant colony optimization, and other metaheuristic algorithms, highlighting their strengths and limitations. It also explores the progress and challenges in sprayer design and drift control research. Finally, the review proposes future research directions and suggestions, such as improving algorithm performance, optimizing path planning strategies, enhancing sprayer accuracy and stability, and refining drift con-trol algorithms. The aim of this review is to provide a comprehensive research overview for scholars in the field, facilitating the further develop-ment and application of precision spraying technology in agricultural drones.
