Amblyseius herbicolus (Chant) belonging to Phytoseiidae, Acari, is an indigenous dominant predatory mite. As a typical represent-ative of phytoseiulus, A. herbicolus has the advantages of miscellaneous food, wide distribution, strong abilities of predation, breaking through the wire mesh, and certain resistance to insecticides, so it is a valuable natural enemy resource. In order to further clarify its value and deepen its development and utilization, this paper systematically reviewed the research progress of A. herbicolus, and put forward its prospect.
